Thanksgiving 2016

This year’s Thanksgiving started out busy but ended with a small dinner with family and friends. I was thankful that I was able to spend it with family at all, as Emily and Jeremy decided to stay in Orange County instead of driving south.

I worked at the hospital in the morning and made a quick stop at daycare to pick up Scout (I have never seen so many dogs in one place) before heading to Emily and Jeremy’s house for dinner. Jeremy’s friends, Eric and Veera, joined us for dinner with their two young boys.

It was Jeremy and Emily’s first time hosting a Thanksgiving dinner (and Jeremy’s first time cooking a turkey!). It was a delicious meal, with everyone contributing different dishes. Despite the 75 degree weather that day, it cooled down at night making it feel a little more like an East Coast Thanksgiving.

I didn’t take too many photos at dinner, but managed to get a few good ones. Hope you enjoy!

All Kieran wanted was the turkey leg. He surprisingly finished all of it.

The highlight was Emily’s apple and pumpkin pies with homemade cinnamon ice cream πŸ™‚ I was so happy I forgot to take a picture before I started eating.

It was a great day and now I’m looking forward to the rest of the holiday season!
